Seventeen

I’ve just had one of the best weeks of my life so far—it’s not exactly the most memorable, but it was so full of happiness compared to the past weeks I’ve been having. From last Sunday to yesterday, I had my birthday week and it was amazing! I feel so blessed.

I spent my Friday night in Eastwood with some of my college friends. We watched a movie, had dinner, and had a few drinks as well (as in literally a few haha). We also hung out in Starbucks, where they were sang “happy birthday” to me at exactly 12 midnight and I got to hug them! That was actually one of my birthday wishes and items in my mental bucket list—to have someone greet me in person and hug on the first moments of my birthday. :) They also surprised me with a cake and a video presentation during dinner. They’re so sweet! I’ve only known them for a few months, but I love being around with them and they make me feel so special.

On Saturday, I had lunch with my family, Gio, and my sister’s boyfriend Vince in Yakimix, Greenbelt. I actually missed my birthday breakfast for the first time because I stayed in Katipunan instead of going back home to Las Pinas. I also missed my family, of course! I can’t imagine not spending my birthday with them. I share my birthday with my sister, so that makes it even more important to have them around.

Afterwards, Gio and I watched a movie (Jack and Jill—the story is so cute!) and met up with my best friends, who I haven’t seen in weeks. We spent the night singing/shouting/screaming and dancing in Redbox for almost 4 hours. They practically lost their voices and my cough came back. Hahaha! It was that intense. This has to be one of my most favorite birthdays with them. In fact, this is one of my most favorite birthdays ever. I usually don’t look forward to my birthday because it’s always a non-working holiday (I like the feeling of being greeted in person on my day), and although it was a Saturday this year, it was one of the best so far. :)
